Our recording studio has been at the heart of the Sheffield music scene for over twenty years and has since gained national recognition for producing an excellent modern sound, while retaining an atmosphere that musicians feel comfortable in. Over the years we have recorded a host of celebrated musicians including Richard Hawley, Arctic Monkeys, Kylie Minogue, Slow Club, Jarvis Cocker, Reverend And The Makers, Onipa, K.O.G and Franz Von.

Yellow Arch isn’t just a place to record music but a place that instantly feels like a second home, and allows musicians to develop ideas, experiment, and open up worlds of musical potential not available anywhere else.

Our stunning studio is part of a converted Victorian nuts and bolts factory and consists of a large live room with a high pitched ceiling, a spacious control room with chillout area, isolation room and vocal booth, all with excellent natural acoustics.

Our engineers are committed to ensuring that the process of recording is always bespoke to the session, and that the sound that you have in your head is realised. All of the engineers at Yellow Arch are passionate about music, and appreciate that the atmosphere in which it’s made has everything to do with the final product.

With a vintage Amek Angela mixing desk at the heart of the studio we have the perfect balance between classic analogue and modern digital recording. We have a great range of outboard preamps, equalisers and compressors including Universal Audio, Calrec and Thermionic Culture, and an ever growing microphone selection.
